Capital City Privacy Policy

Capital City is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust, and accordingly maintains the following privacy policy to protect personal information you provide online.  

Data Gathering

First of all, Capital City promises to treat you with respect and we will not contact you unless you give us permission. We also will not share or sell information about you, nor will we provide access to our information database, to anyone outside of Capital City and its sponsors and partners.

That said, there are a few areas on our site where the collection of personal information is necessary. For example, when you order merchandise, the personal information you provide us will be used to process your order. If you decide to join our free fan club, the personal information you provide us will be used to send you targeted emails about merchandise specials, promotions, giveaways, sponsor activities and opinion polls. Our sponsors may also want to notify you of any special announcements, so your information will be used to make sure you receive those if you have requested as such. We may also need to get a hold of you in regards to an order you placed or to answer a question you may have asked us.  

Website information is used to confirm participation in the online Capital City Fan Clubs and may be used to advise sponsors of the numbers of visitors who come to Capital City website from their websites.  

In addition, we track information about the number of visits to our website. For example, we compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors to our websites, the daily requests we receive for particular files on our websites, and what countries those requests come from. These aggregated statistics are used internally to better provide services to the public and may be shared with others, but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.  

Please remember, you providing us with your information is different from a "cookie". Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site sends to your computer while you are viewing the Web site. These pieces of information allow the Web site to remember important information that will make your use of that site more personalized.  

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. Keep in mind that if you turn cookies off, some of our services may not function properly and your Internet experience may not be as efficient.  

If at any time you change your mind and would like to add or remove your name from the Capital City mailing list, or update your personal information, please email us at If you are a fan club member, there are areas on the site that allow you to unsubscribe and update your member information.  


The importance of security for all personal information associated with our fans is of utmost concern to us. Capital City takes technical, contractual, administrative, and physical security steps to protect all visitors' information. When you provide credit card information, we use secure socket layer (SSL) encryption to protect it.  

There are some things that you can do to help protect the security of your information as well. For instance, never give out your password, since this is what is used to access all of your account information. Also, remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window when you are finished surfing the Web, so that other people using the same computer will not have access to your information.  

Children and the Internet 

Types of Information Collected  

Children can surf, and view some content without any personal information being collected. However, in some areas it is necessary to collect very limited personal information from kids to allow participation in our free fan club. Capital City believes it is good policy not to collect more personal information from kids 12 and younger than is necessary for them to participate in our online activities. In addition, be aware that all sites that are targeted to children 12 and younger are prohibited by law from collecting more information than they need.  

The only personal information we collect from kids is first name, e-mail address, and child's birth date. We collect the birth date to validate a member's age and, in the future, to send birthday greetings. We also collect a password specified by the child to access the fan club.

We also allow parents to request at any time that the information collected about their child be removed from our database. If you would like to deactivate your child's account, please send an e-mail message to with your child's email address and password requesting that the account be cancelled.  

Sharing Information  

No information collected from children 12 and younger is used for any marketing or promotional purposes whatsoever, either inside or outside Capital City and its sponsors and partners.  

Capital City is not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of its sponsors, partners, affiliates and third party vendors’ websites.
